Definition
A Telegram supergroup is a large, powerful group type that supports up to 200,000 members and adds advanced admin, moderation and history features.
Groups are automatically upgraded to supergroups as they grow or when certain features are enabled. Supergroups keep a full message history, support granular admin roles, and allow tools like slow mode and topic threads.
